This research project aims to scrutinize the inclusion of environmental education in the curriculum of primary school in Indonesia. This study is conducted under the document analysis by investigating the learning outcomes related to environmental education based on individual subjects taught in this education level. The findings of the target learning outcomes are divided into two categories—cognitive aspects and target attitudes. Apparently, religious subjects contain the learning materials regarding the rise of awareness to take care of environment from both cognitive and attitude aspects. The findings of this preliminary stage are the foundation for the upcoming stage of this project which include a module development and project implementation in two different primary schools.
