Originally from Surabaya, East Java. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the Faculty of Theology in Bandung (2000). He then received a Master's in Law from the Faculty of Law Universitas Pelita Harapan Surabaya (2016) while he works as a Student Service Manager and teaching assistant with the Liberal Arts Lecturer there.
In 2012, he received an award from the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in the form of the Social Service Medal (Satya Lencana Kebaktian Sosial) for voluntarily donating blood 100 times. He has also written about his experiences as a humanitarian activist in a book entitled "Berbagi Nyawa” (Sharing Lives) which was published in 2010.
In 2018-2019 he worked as a general course lecturer coordinator at Universitas Ciputra, Surabaya. He approaches religious learning with students by bringing them to interact directly with people of different religions, both in class and in places of worship.
His research interest includes Christian-Muslim relations, the role and contribution of religion to society, and the relationship between the altruistic act of blood donation and religious tolerance, as since 2000 he has been involved as an interreligious activist as well as volunteer and organizational board member at the Indonesian Red Cross.
